Kids Pack helped my 10 year old son with his tummy troubles and mental health
“Mom, I don’t feel good, my stomach really hurts and I’m getting a headache.”
He said this as we were about to walk out the door for a weekend of camping and a soccer tournament. Not the ideal time to be getting sick 😫
I got him nausea meds, gave him some Tylenol and hoped for the best.
Then I started watching him, when he was around his friends he was fine- running, playing, being 10 year old rowdy boys.
The minute we were in the camper and back to the silence the stomachache and headache were back, he was waking up in the night and having a hard time going to sleep.
This is the moment I knew exactly what it was, it wasn’t a physical sickness, it was a mental sickness. Panic and anxiety had taken a hold of him.
We’d been here before with him but it hits different at 10 then it did at 5. Time for change.
Thank God things are much better now, it’s been 4 months but the solution is working and we can tell when he’s gotten off his routine. His focus at school and in sports has improved. His tummy troubles are virtually gone. We are on the path to getting our boy back ❤️
